Handwara, July 24 (KNS): In a major outreach initiative, the Nougam Brigade of the Indian Army, in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara, organized a day-long medical and veterinary camp at Army Goodwill School, Nowgam, benefiting over 400 people from remote areas.
Senior doctors from GMC Handwara provided free check-ups and medicines in various specialties, including pediatrics, gynecology, dentistry, and general medicine. The camp was a significant help to underprivileged residents, especially women, children, and the elderly, offering much-needed healthcare access in this far-flung region.

MLA Langate, who visited the camp, appreciated the army’s efforts and called for more such initiatives in underserved areas. He said camps like these fill critical healthcare gaps in rural regions and build stronger bonds between the army and civilians.
