Any Threat to Makkah Is Grave Concern for Entire Muslim World: Aga Syed Hassan

Ready

Srinagar, Sep 17 (KNS) : President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, on Thursday expressed profound concern over reports of a drone being intercepted in the vicinity of the holy city of Makkah, stressing that the sanctity and security of the Islamic holy sites must remain inviolable under all circumstances.

In a statement issued here, Aga Syed Hassan said Makkah and Medina belong to the spiritual heritage of the entire Muslim Ummah, and any act that threatens, endangers or compromises their sanctity is wholly unacceptable and deserves unequivocal condemnation.

He noted that while Saudi authorities have attributed the incident to a Houthi drone, the Houthis have denied targeting Makkah or any Islamic holy site. Amid these conflicting claims, Aga Syed Hassan called for restraint, responsible conduct and an impartial determination of the facts, warning against allowing the sacred cities to become entangled in military confrontations, political disputes or competing regional agendas.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"The sanctity of Makkah and Medina transcends every political, sectarian and military consideration. No conflict, grievance or geopolitical objective can justify placing the holy cities, the Kaaba, pilgrims or worshippers at risk. Any genuine threat to these sacred places is a matter of grave concern for the entire Muslim world, while any attempt to falsely associate the holy cities with a conflict for political or military purposes is equally deplorable," he said.

The Anjuman President urged all parties in the region to exercise maximum restraint and ensure that the sanctity of the Haramain Sharifain is respected and protected above all considerations.

He emphasised that the sacred status of Makkah and Medina demands collective responsibility, caution and accountability, and appealed to the international community and Muslim countries to work towards preventing the holy cities from becoming theatres of regional confrontation. (KNS)
