Srinagar, September 8 (KNS) : Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday expressed concern over the prescription of 10+2 as the maximum educational qualification for the recently notified Class-IV (MTS) and Sanitation Worker posts.

In a statement issued, He said the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) had fixed 10+2 as the maximum qualification for these posts, which means that candidates with qualifications higher than 10+2 would not be eligible to apply. He said the decision had disappointed thousands of educated job aspirants who have pursued higher education.

In a statement, Altaf Bukhari said, “By prescribing a maximum qualification, the Government has effectively told thousands of young people that being more educated can make them ineligible for a government job. This is not only unfair but also sends a deeply discouraging message to our youth.”

Urging the Government to remove the maximum qualification bar from the JKSSB notification, Bukhari said, “The Government must understand that unemployment is already a major concern among our educated youth. The solution cannot be to close the doors of employment to those who have acquired higher qualifications. I strongly urge the Government to immediately reconsider the notification and remove the maximum educational qualification criterion.”

“All otherwise eligible candidates, whether they are 10+2 pass, graduates or postgraduates, should be given an equal opportunity to compete for these posts,” he added.(KNS)
