Says NC & BJP promote divisive politics in J&K as they fail to protect rights of people
Nagrota, Oct 30 (KNS) : Apni Party President, Altaf Bukhari on Thursday slammed the ruling National Conference Govt for its failure to fulfil the promises made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a press release issued ,Altaf Bukhari was addressing a political rally in support of the Party candidate, Bodh Raj Bhagat, fielded from the Nagrota Assembly Constituency in the scheduled by-poll.
Provincial President of the Party Manjit Singh, and a large number of leaders, and workers participated in the public rally.
Appealing to the people to vote and support the Apni Party candidate, Bodh Raj Bhagat; Altaf Bukhari assured that they will work for the equitable development of the neglected high-profile Assembly Constituency Nagrota.
He said that the people shall elect a candidate to represent the constituency so that he could work for them, and their development.
Raising concern over the divisive politics, which has widened gaps between Jammu and Kashmir; he recalled how the BJP played with the sentiments of Jammu and got 29 assembly seats in last assembly elections.
On the other-hand, the National Conference was voted to power by the people in Kashmir, and Pirpanjal, and Chenab Valley yet they did nothing for the people. The NC and BJP are hands in glove to promote hate politics in both the regions for political gains.
“The Apni Party is against such a political gamble that flare-up communal hate, and promote mistrust among the people. We believe in constructive politics to benefit the people of both the regions equally i.e., equitable development, employment for all unemployed of J&K, and protection of their rights,” he added.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Condemning the politics of hate, he said that it was Apni Party that ensured protection to the jobs, and land for the locals in Jammu and Kashmir, when no other political party was ready to speak for the people following abrogation of special status, and bifurcation of the historic erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Lauding Ladakhi people for raising their voice for protection of their culture, he asked the people of Jammu to wake-up and vote against the BJP that exploited their emotions by raking up the religious issues.
“These issues have not benefited the people,” he said, criticising the revocation of special status, and bifurcation of J&K into two union territories.
He said that the powers of J&K were curtailed after dividing into two UTs, and LG was appointed from Delhi claiming that it would bring development and employment.
However, nothing happened. And, the people continue to suffer at the hands of the outsiders who have allegedly grabbed resources, and business, he stated.
Questioning the NC’s rhetoric after completing one year in the Govt, he said that the NC and the BJP have been working against the wishes of the people.
“The NC Govt is diverting the attention of the people, who voted them to power, claiming that they lack powers to work,” he said expressing surprise on NC’s claim as they contested last assembly elections in a Union Territory where powers lie with the Lt Governor.
Meanwhile, he highlighted the manifesto of the people, and appealed to the people to cast their votes in favour of the Apni Party Candidate, Bodh Raj Bhagat to revamp developmental activities.(KNS)
