Srinagar, October 25 (KNS): Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the oppression and reign of terror unleashed by police throughout Kashmir valley especially in Anantnag, front spokesman said in a statement.
While condemning the spree of arrests in Anantnag where people have been protesting against the brutal killing of innocent driver Zahid Rasool Butt by RSS goons at Udahmpor, Malik said that police stations have become center of atrocities and terror. He said that more than 60 boys have been lodged at police Chowki Janglaatmandi including a 12 year old innocent Zahid Ahmad who has been arrested in place of his brother. “As there is no lockup in the said police Chowki police is keeping these young boys handcuffed for twenty four hours.” Malik while strongly condemning this “Policegiri” appealed international human rights organization like amnesty international, Asia watch, ICRC etc to intervene and save the lives of Kashmiri youth.
Meanwhile, senior resistance leader and vice chairman JKLF Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi has strongly condemned the abusive language used by Waheed Parra of PDP “who is a known Indian home ministry adopted person and has risen to upper circles in PDP at the behest of Indian agencies”. While terming Parra as a non-entity and a person harbored and cherished by Indian agencies, Bakhshi sahib said that he must learn manners before opening his mouth and talk according to his size and stature.
Bakhshi said that when people of Jammu responding to the movement started by JKLF and Yasin Malik could challenge India and face its oppression, what the standing of small agents like Parra? Front spokesman said that Waheed Parra had recently used abusive language against Yasin and JKLF while participating in a program on an Indian TV channel that was spewing venom against Yasin Malik's visit to Boitengo Anantnag and scuffle with Indian paramilitary forces.
