Demand pay revision of junior Agri officers

Srinagar, May 25 (KNS): All Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Employees Association met Finance Minister Syed Altaf Bukhari and apprised him about their long pending demands.
A spokesperson of the association while lauding the finance minister's statement on resolving pay anomaly of clerical staff demanded their pay anomaly should also be resolved.
The spokesperson said that the Section officers and Junior Agriculture Extension Officers (JAEO) were working in the same pay band but JAEO employees were ignored and their pay band wasn't revised.
“The state government has already promised us that they fulfil all the demands and needs of the employees. But it is an unfortunate the demands of the employees were not fulfilled by the government,” it said.
They apprised the finance minister of 2011 meeting wherein the the government revised the when pay band of Section officers but the demands of JEAO were neglected.
“Some of the employees are working in the departments from last 30 years. These employees should be benefited and their pay band should be revised according to pay band of section officers,” it added.
The Association demanded “the pay anomalies and disparities with respect to clerical cadre and pre-revised scale of Rupees 6500 -10500 pay Anomaly committee (PAC) shall be revised. The pay Anomaly committee shall consult the representative of the employees whenever required," it added. (KNS)
