Srinagar, August 10 (KNS): They newly appointed President JKPM Feroze Peerzada clarified that he is not sure whether Dr Shah Feasel will rejoin administration. He added the former bureaucrat turned politician has disassociated himself from day-to-day political affaris.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Peerzada said that I am not sure about the future course of action of Dr Shah Faesal who resigned as President of J&K Peoples Movement (JKPM).
“I’m not sure whether Dr Shah Faesal will rejoin administration but he disassociated himself from JKPM and day-to-day politics of J&K”, Peerzada said.
“May be he will go for further studies as he is fond of acquiring knowledge”, he maintained.
He said Dr Shah Faesal had resigned from Government service and joined politics for a change for people but he disappointed after New Delhi sabotaged regional politics while abrogating Article 370 and 35(A) on August 5, 2019.
“The political value of Kashmir has been razed to ground. There is a vast difference between politics of pre-August 2019 and today. Article 370 and 35(A) are no more”, Peerzada mentioned.
“The value of CM has been degraded to Div Com. So what can you expect from such a situation”, he added.
Terming a challenge to be as President of JKPM, Peerzada said that I was not ready to hold the position as it is a challenge for me in current political situation.
“We tried a lot to persuade Dr Faesal to continue as Party President but we couldn’t win over. From last one month we used every effort to lure him but of no avail”, Peerzada said.
Recollecting the memoir he said, “We met in New Delhi before floating party. We deliberated upon the political situation thread bare. I felt Dr Faesal was the hope that Kashmiris needed at that juncture. Soon after reaching to Valley, we launched JKPM and tried to participate in LS polls but it could not happen. We were hopeful that New Delhi will think thousands of times before tinkering with Article 370 and 35(A) but what happen then, everyone knows”.
He said we can’t comment anything in prior about the politics of New Delhi. “We had Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu. Till 06:00 pm everything was ok and afterwards he shocked everyone after tendering his resignation”, said Peerzada.
When asked about netizens who have raised several questions over the decision, Peerzada termed it “unfortunate” and said, “Our youth is much intelligent and politically mature, if they will be guided to right path, they can achieve incredible results”. (KNS)
