Srinagar, Jul 22 (KNS): An executive meeting of Jammu Kashmir Editors (JKEF) was on Monday held at Kashmir Press Club with Convenor and Co- Convenor in chair.

The meeting continued for two hours during which deliberations in length and breadth pertaining to the discipline of members, issue of recently held elections of Kashmir press club, day-to-day affairs of newspapers and others took place.

The forum expressed satisfaction over the smooth conduct recently held KPC elections and lauded the role of each member.

In the meeting today, it was stressed upon the members to maintain discipline, adding that the members should influence their key role in strengthening the forum.

Besides, grave concern was expressed over the present incumbent government’s behavior towards media fraternity, which is considered fourth pillar of democracy.

The discussion over the elections for the JK editors’ forum was also discussed, which will be held soon. (KNS)
