APSCC for swift action in Sumbal incident

Srinagar, May 14 (KNS): “Three years girl rape is a heinous crime and exemplary punishment should be given to the culprit. This case is fittest case to register under POCSO (Protection of children from sexually offences) against the accused,” said APSCC chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina.

“I appreciate Governor Satya Pal Malik and other officials of government for swift action on fasts track bases so that in future no body repeats such heinous crime,” said Raina.

“Kashmir valley is a known safe place for females and such incident will not be tolerated by the people living in the valley. We can stop such dirty mind by punishing the culprit on fast track,” he said.

In a statement issued to KNS, All Party Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) termed the incident as shocking and in human act. The victim is daughter of every Kashmiri, we feel ashamed after hearing this crime and wants justice to family. We express solidarity with the family of the girl and urged society to raise strong voice against this crime committed against a small baby of three years. (KNS)
