ANC condemns ‘restrictions’ on movement of its leaders

Srinagar, Nov 14 (KNS): Awami National Conference (ANC) on Thursday condemned the action of police “who didn’t allow the party leaders to step out from their residences.”
In a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS), ANC President Begum Khalida Shah condemned the police action “who stopped party leaders to come out from their residences.”
“On Thursday at 04:30 pm, we including party president, vice president and NC leader Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal tried to come out from our residences to meet our relative Suraya Abdullah, but we were not allowed by police”, She said in a statement.
“Forces personnel deputed outside our residence stopped us and cited ‘threat to our life’ as a reason,” Begum Khalida added.
The ANC President ridiculed police version and said, “We have no threat from any person except these forces agencies who confined us into four walls.” (KNS)
