Srinagar, Feb 14 (KNS): On the directions of Awami Action Committee (AAC) patron Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq, an AAC delegation comprising Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi, Peer Ghulam Nabi, Farooq Ahmed Saudagar, and others visited the house of deceased AAC Halqa president for Khankah-e-Moula –Shamswari, Farooq Ahmed Matoo and offered special fateh prayers.
On the occasion, AAC’s senior member Peer Ghulam Nabi paid rich tributes to Matoo and highlighted his social, religious and political contributions. He stated that Matoo was not only the freedom lover, but also an ardent supporter of Mirwaiz family.
The delegation also conveyed the condolence message of AAC patron, who continues to remain under house detention at his Nigeen residence, to Matoo family including his son Muhammad Umar Matoo.
The delegation also visited the residence of Raja Muhammad Abbas Khan of Androon-e-Kathidarwaza who expired recently and extended the condolence message to the bereaved family on behalf of Mirwaiz. The deceased was the brother of Raja Mohammad Ayub Khan close associate of Shaheed-e-Millat Molvi Muhammad Farooq Sahib and Gen Sec of AAC. (KNS)
