Srinagar July 15 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Workers Party (JKWP) President Mir Junaid hailed a transformative development in the Union Territory’s journey toward justice. Describing it as “a watershed moment in justice,” he praised the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, for fulfilling a long-overdue moral responsibility by granting jobs and FIR registration to victims of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

“This is not just policy. It is a principled acknowledgment of moral courage, of families who lost blood and home yet refused to kneel before terror,” said Junaid.

Recounting his persistent advocacy, Junaid recalled first proposing this initiative in 2016 to then Home Minister and current Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh. He vividly remembered being called in July 2017 to New Delhi, where he attended a high-level strategic meeting at Singh's 17 Akbar Road residence. The meeting brought together key figures including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, then Home Secretary Shri Rajiv Gauba, Internal Security Secretary Ms. Rina Mitra, Intelligence Bureau Director Shri Rajiv Jain, RAW Chief Anil Dhasmana, and Rajiv Mehrishi. Mir Junaid emphasized that this was never about political optics but a sustained, principle-driven initiative aimed at long-term welfare. “That vision, once patronized as ‘idealistic,’ has today become a living reality… when conviction meets conscience, justice can prevail,” he said.

He further stated that each FIR and job letter is more than just a bureaucratic act—it is a tribute to the martyrs who fell to Pakistani terror. “Their pain was never distant to me. It was personal, raw, and unforgettable,” he said.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Junaid remarked, “Your leadership has given dignity to the forgotten and honour to the martyrs. Jammu and Kashmir will remember. Always.”

He extended thanks to the Government of India, the Home Minister, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and every citizen and institution that supported this cause.
