88 thousand jobless youth in JK enough to expose PDP-BJP’s mis-governance: Kadfeen

Srinagar, Apr 24 (KNS): Slamming the previous BJP and PDP coalition for leaving thousands of educated youth Kashmiri youth in lurch, Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Wednesday said that there are more than 88 thousand registered jobless youth in the state at present.

Kadfeen said one wonders that where the tall claims of the BJP and PDP about addressing the unemployment vanished while both were ruling the state. He said the latest government data clearly mentions that the number of jobless educated youth hasn’t decreased since 2015 when the nexus of BJP and PDP came into being. He said that even at present, there are 88 thousand registered jobless youth in Jammu and Kashmir with around 41 thousand in Kashmir and 45 thousand in Jammu region of the state.

According to Kadfeen, such a dreadful trend has put the lid off over the claims of the BJP and PDP that these parties have succeeded in ending the problem of unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir to a large extent.

The Congress leader said that the only thing the previous government did to the state was increasing peoples’ alienation and estrangement. “It is the Congress party alone that has been in the forefront in addressing people’s concerns and history bears testimony to the fact that the state of Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed an unprecedented development whenever Congress has been in power. The party is fully confident that it will once again get a decisive mandate to get the country and the state out of the morass,” Kadfeen said. (KNS)
