Srinagar, Mar 06 (KNS): At least eight residential houses were completed gutted in a massive fire incident at Chimmer Noorabad area of Kulgam on late Thursday night.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said that fire broke out from the second storey residential house of Shahid Ahmad Naik Son Manzoor Ahmad Naik and spread to other nearby houses due to which at least eight residential houses were damaged.
Reports said that after fire engulfed in the house and soon it spread to the nearby houses and damaged them completely.
The house owners were identified as Shahid Ah Naik , Javaid Naik, Mubarak Naik, Hilal Naik, Bashir Naik ,Ghulam Hassan ,Mohd Yousuf Naik amd Masroor Ahmed.
Soon after the fire broke Fire tenders with the help of locals tried to douse the flames and stopped fire from spreading to other houses in this large congested locality.
SDM Noorabad Ummar Shafi Pandith (KAS) confirmed that eight houses were gutted in the fire mishap. (KNS).
