74th Indian Army Day organized in Mawer Valley

Handwara, Jan 15 (KNS): The Nowgam brigade of the Indian army on Saturday organized the 79th Indian Army Day with great enthusiasm in the Mawer area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

The program began with some inspiring Hindi and English speeches, followed by songs performed by both solo and group artists. The spirit of the event was lifted manifolds when the participants entrenched the gathering with their beautiful poetry and the songs echoed throughout the valley.

Students from the Mawer Valley participated in the quiz competition, which was conducted to test their knowledge but also involve them in some intellectual activity.

The culmination of the event witnessed the distribution of prizes to the winners of the quiz competition and to the enthusiastic participants.

The 79th Indian Army Day is marked as yet another day in history that strengthened the bonds and brought the Kashmiri Awaam and the army ever so close. (KNS)
