Srinagar, Nov 29 (KNS): A seven year old boy, Hashim Mansoor of Bandipora district has won gold in Asian Youth Karate Championship making way for paying World Karate Championship slated to be played in Europe in September next year.
Hashim Mansoor, son of Mansoor Ahmad Shah, resident of Nadihal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has bagged the gold medal at Asian Youth Karate Championship in New Delhi.
Class 2nd student was representing India in the Sub-Junior category championship that was held at Talkatora stadium in New Delhi in which at least 19 countries participated.
Notably, the championship was organized by All India Youth Karate Federation.

Reports said that earlier, Mansoor defeated his Bhutanese and Malaysian rivals as well.
After bagging gold medal in Asian Karate Championship, Hashim is all set to participate in world championship slated to be held in Europe in September 2017.
Pertinently, 8-year-old girl, Tajamul Islam of Bandipora won gold medal in world kickboxing championship that was held at Italy.
Following her win, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti met with world kickboxing champion and presented her a gift of Rs 1 Lakh while Governor N N Vohra also presented her a gift of Rs 50,000.
Besides presents from government, Tajamul Islam was felicitated by several schools where school administration presented here gifts as well. (KNS)
