LG Sinha Directs Assistance for Victims

Srinagar, Apr 13 (KNS): devastating accident in Phagsoo area of  Doda in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday evening has left six people dead and four others injured.


An official told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the accident occurred when a Maruti Suzuki Eco vehicle collided at Khanpura, Phagsoo area, around 7:15 PM on Saturday evening. 

Among the deceased were Mukhtiyar Ahmed (28), a 4-year-old baby girl, Riyaz Ahmed, Ireena Begum, Muhammad Rafi, and an 8-year-old girl named Noorain Fatima. 

The injured, including a 10-year-old girl, were rushed to the Sub-District Hospital in Thathri and later referred to the Government Medical College in Doda for further treatment.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and directed the District Administration to provide all necessary assistance to those affected by the tragedy.

“I am deeply grieved and shocked at the tragic loss of lives and injuries resulting from the unfortunate road accident at Phagsoo, Doda today. I convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. I have issued instructions to the District Administration to provide all necessary assistance, as provided in rule, to the affected persons," the LG said.(KNS).
