Srinagar, Feb 03 (KNS): Panic gripped several villages in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district after a 5-year old girl Arfat Jan daughter of Abdul Hameed Chopan was mauled to death by a leopard.
According to the KNS correspondent, the incident occurred today evening at Ahmadabad in Noorabad constituency when Arfat Jan was attacked by the big cat, which dragged her away from the compound of her house and killed her.
As the family members of the girl raised an alarm, the villagers went after the leopard. The body of the victim was subsequently found in an orchard. (KNS)
