4 Pilgrims Injured After Landslide Hits Vaishno Devi Old Track in J-K

Reasi, July 21(KNS): A landslide triggered by heavy rains hit the old track leading to the Vaishno Devi shrine in Reasi district on Monday morning, injuring four pilgrims, officials said.

The incident took place around 8:50 am at Gulshan Ka Langar near Banganga — the initial point of the pilgrimage where pony riders and yatris usually gather.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The landslide followed intense rainfall in Katra town, the base camp for the shrine located on the Trikuta hills.

A rescue operation was swiftly launched, and the four trapped pilgrims were evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is said to be stable.(KNS).
