33 students felicitated for memorising Quran at Handwara Darul Uloom


Handwara, Oct 29 (KNS):  Darul Uloom Waripora in Handwara area of Kupwara district on Sunday felicitated 33 students for memorising the Holy Quran during an event participated by renowned clerics from Kashmir Valley. 

According to a statement, issued to KNS, the daylong program was attended by Mufti Syed Mohammad Ashraf Qasmi, ADC Handwara Nazir Ahmad, Tehsildar Handwara Shabaz Ahmad, MD KNS Mohammad Aslam Bhat, Haji Gh Rasool Banday, administrator Peer Shams-u-dinc deputy administrator Gh Hassan Wani Principal Firdous Ah Reshi, Hilal Ah Wani, Nisaar Ah Bhat, Naseer u Din peer Flahi, besides several other prominent Islamic scholars. 

The scholars unequivocally highlighted the importance and significance of Quran education.

The event was also attended by family members of the students who completed the Hafiz course. 
These students as a mark of symbolism and honour were with donned turbans and shawls. 

Notably, there are 60 students enrolled in Darul-Uloom Waripora who are receiving religious education. (KNS)
