Magam, 14th February: A 26-year-old woman was discovered deceased under puzzling circumstances in the paddy fields of Magam, situated in central Kashmir's Budgam district.
According to reliable sources reported to Kashmir News Service (KNS), locals stumbled upon the body of the young woman on Wednesday afternoon in the Magam fields. Promptly, they alerted the local police in Magam, who promptly responded to the call.
Sources disclosed to KNS that the police team swiftly transported the body to the nearby Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Magam to carry out legal and medical procedures to determine the cause of death.
An official stated that preliminary indications suggest the possibility of suicide; however, a postmortem examination has been initiated to ascertain the precise details. The deceased has been identified as Kulsuma Reham, daughter of Ab Reham Lone, a resident of Drang Tangmarg.
Furthermore, an official informed KNS that an investigation into the matter has been launched, and a case has been registered at the Magam police station.(KNS)
