250-300 Terrorists Ready to infiltrate from across border, says IG BSF

 Srinagar, Dec 16(KNS): Inspector General of border Security Force (BSF) Kashmir, Ashok Yadav, said on Saturday that around 250 to 300 terrorists are currently stationed at launchpads along the border, poised for potential infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir.

Highlighting an improved rapport between security forces and the people of Kashmir in recent years, he emphasized the potential for enhanced developmental activities with increased cooperation from the local community.

He said that in borders areas there remains a concern for potential infiltration by terrorists; thus, the security forces are intensifying vigilance and implementing stringent security measures to thwart any cross-border attempts.

He said that the BSF remains vigilant to prevent any infiltration attempts and pledges to sustain this commitment. "The public's connection with the forces has grown in recent years. With ongoing cooperation, developmental efforts can be significantly enhanced," he said while highlighted the BSF's efforts in imparting diverse skills to youth and women, aiming to foster financial independence.(KNS).
