Srinagar, Apr 25 (KNS): Two militants were on Thursday killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Police while confirming the killing of two militants in a statement said “on credible inputs a cordon and search operation was launched at Bagender Mohalla Bijbehara area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, by Police and other forces,” adding that “In the ensuing encounter, two militants were killed and the bodies were retrieved from the site of encounter”

“Their identities and affiliations are being ascertained. Further search in the area is going on,” reads the statement. (KNS)
