15 shops, petrol pump sealed in Baramulla

Srinagar, May 02 (KNS): Fifteen shops and a petrol pump were sealed in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday after violating lockdown orders.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), fifteen shops and a petrol pump were sealed by district administration Baramulla and registered FIR’s under relevant sections of law against the violators.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla G N Itoo told KNS that administration is on toe to make lockdown successful. He said authorities will not spare anybody violating administrative guidelines in wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

He said the district administration has constituted several flying squads to check the violations and report back to administration. He also said so far district administration has taken many violators to task and registered FIRs against them as per relevant sections of law.

“So far 255 persons have been arrested, 77 vehicles seized and 89 FIRs registered against lockdown violators”, DC said. (KNS)
