During an inaugural event at Kashmir University, Sinha highlighted the plan to make these centers fully functional within the specified timeframe. Furthermore, Sinha emphasized the establishment of 50-bed integrated Ayush hospitals in five districts of Jammu and Kashmir. 

 

The districts selected for this initiative are Kulgam, Kuthua, Kupwara, Kishtiwar, and Samba. These hospitals will focus on the integration of Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy practices. Sinha also mentioned the successful distribution of Ayush immunity boosters and support medicines to half of Jammu and Kashmir's population since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

 

Regarding the recent Y20 event held at the University of Kashmir, Sinha said, "I am extremely pleased with the level of participation and the international impact it has had. This event, which primarily focused on the tourism working group, has garnered recognition not only within India but also in other countries. I would like to commend the Vice Chancellor, faculty, and students of Kashmir University for their tremendous efforts in organizing this successful event."

 

Furthermore, Sinha stated, "It is a great honor that the Government of India has chosen Srinagar as the starting point for the World Milk Day celebrations. Hosting such prominent events in Kashmir has a positive impact on building trust and confidence in the government among the local population."

 

Discussing the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission initiated in Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha acknowledged, "The historical significance of our region as a center for Ayurveda and Unani medical practices cannot be overstated. To strengthen these traditional medical systems, the Health and Medical Education Department has taken significant steps, including the establishment of the Government Ayurvedic Medical College in Akhnoor and a Government Unani Medical College and Hospital in Ganderbal. These institutions will not only provide healthcare to patients but also contribute to the production of 35 and 60 doctors annually, respectively."

 

Sinha highlighted the remarkable achievements in the tourism sector of Jammu and Kashmir, stating, "Last year, approximately 1.8 crore tourists visited Kashmir, solidifying our region's position on the global tourism map. With these notable developments, Jammu and Kashmir are steadily gaining recognition as a prime tourist destination."
