Handwara, August 4 (KNS): A tragic accident occurred at Badrah Crossing, Langate Handwara, when a Scooty was hit by a tractor, resulting in the death of the rider and critical injuries to the pillion.
An official told the Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the accident took place on the Baramulla-Handwara highway, leaving two people seriously injured.
"Both were rushed to Baramulla hospital, where, Waqar Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Ujroo Langate, succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the injured person is yet to be confirmed," he said.
The official said that the police have taken action by arresting the tractor driver and seizing the vehicle. "A case has been registered in connection with the incident," he added.(KNS)
