Srinagar, June 11(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference State Secretary Organisation Sheikh Imran launched a sharp attack on BJP leader Ravinder Raina, accusing him of repeatedly questioning the patriotism of Kashmiri political leaders and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Referring to past remarks directed at MP Engineer Rashid, Sheikh Imran said no individual or political party had the authority to label Kashmiris as "Pakistani" or question their national identity. He asserted that such rhetoric was disrespectful and deeply hurtful to the people of the region.
Criticising what he described as political double standards, Imran questioned Raina's recent visit to Engineer Rashid's residence despite earlier allegations against him.
He said such actions exposed contradictions in political conduct and amounted to making a mockery of public sentiment.
Instead, he said, the party would continue to seek votes on the basis of its vision, performance, and commitment to the welfare and future of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Calling upon the youth and elders of Kashmir to remain vigilant, Imran urged them not to be swayed by what he termed political theatrics and opportunism. He said the People's Conference remained committed to principled politics and would continue to work for the aspirations of future generations.
Expressing confidence in the party's mission, Sheikh Imran said the People's Conference would continue to move forward on the strength of its convictions and dedication to the people, while seeking public trust through its own merit and agenda.(KNS
