Srinagar, June 9 (KNS): Contractors working under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Kashmir met today with House Committee Chairman and MLA Pampore Hasnain Masoodi to highlight key concerns affecting the implementation of water supply projects in the region.
The PHE JJM Contractors Coordination Committee, Kashmir, submitted a memorandum detailing challenges faced by contractors, especially the delay in release and utilisation of project funds. The committee said these delays are severely impacting the pace and efficiency of work under the Public Health Engineering (PHE) sector.

Masoodi assured the delegation that their concerns would be taken seriously and promised to raise the matter with the relevant authorities for swift resolution.
The meeting is seen as a positive step toward improving JJM project execution in Kashmir and ensuring uninterrupted progress in providing tap water to rural households. (KNS)
