Srinagar January 1 (KNS): National Conference president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday said that God willing we have friendly relations with the neighbours and we will come out of the difficulties, he said.
Talking to media, he welcomed recent diplomatic gestures, the NC chief said he was pleased that India’s External Affairs Minister attended the last rites of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. “They are our old friends, and we want to take this friendship much further,” he said, underlining the importance of strong regional ties.
Referring to issues faced by Kashmir’s traditional industries, including shawl dealers, Abdullah said hardships were part of destiny but cautioned against divisive and extremist thinking.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Some people have different intentions. They follow dangerous paths,” he remarked.
In a sharp warning, Abdullah said attempts were being made to impose authoritarian ideologies. “They want the Hitler system to start here. Hitler disappeared and shot himself. God willing, Nazism ended there, and a time will come when it will end here as well,” he asserted.(KNS)
