New Delhi, June 18 (KNS): The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has strongly condemned recent statements by US President Donald Trump on Iran, calling them aggressive and dangerous. The party warned that such rhetoric could push the entire West Asia region into war and instability.
In a statement issued to KNS, the CPI(M) criticised President Trump for openly threatening Iranian leaders and demanding Iran’s unconditional surrender. It also raised concerns over the large-scale deployment of US military forces in the region, calling it a sign of possible coordinated attacks with Israel.
“The US is preparing for war, and its alliance with Israel is fuelling regional tensions,” the CPI(M) said.
The party also criticised the G-7 for blaming Iran while ignoring Israel’s ongoing military actions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelIt accused Israel of triggering conflict across West Asia, starting with Gaza and expanding its operations into Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and now Iran.
“Without curbing Israel’s aggression, peace in West Asia will not be possible,” the CPI(M) said, adding that the US and its allies are using Israel to assert dominance over the region, in violation of international law.
Calling for immediate global action, the CPI(M) urged the international community to pressure both the US and Israel to stop their military actions and return to diplomatic efforts.
The party also urged the Indian government to drop its pro-US and pro-Israel foreign policy and instead stand with the Global South in demanding an end to aggression in West Asia.(KNS)
