Srinagar, July 28 (KNS) : J&K Peoples Conference President and MLA Handwara Sajad Lone on Tuesday dismissed Mehbooba Mufti's apology over her Jantar Mantar remarks as inadequate, saying that if an "apology season" was truly underway, several other episodes deserved one too.
Lone's list included the PDP's initial claim that the viral video was AI-generated, the party's 2015 alliance with the BJP, Mufti's 2016 "Doodh-Toffee" remark, the pellet-gun injuries and deaths during the 2016 unrest, mass PSA detentions, the 1990 violence and the introduction of AFSPA — the latter two linked to Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's tenure as Union Home Minister.

He said Tuesday's apology "did not even remotely resemble an apology," arguing that genuine contrition "demands humility and humbleness."
Lone also objected to Mufti's repeated use of the word "mother," saying that "Mothers don't blind children. Mothers don't lock up children under PSA," and accused her of dehumanising motherhood. (KNS)
