Zahoor Ahmad Bhat assumes charge of Director Horticulture Kashmir

Srinagar March 5 (KNS): Today marks a momentous occasion as  Zahoor Ahmad Bhat officially assumed the prestigious role of Director of Horticulture Kashmir. In a graceful handover ceremony, he received the baton from the outgoing director, Mr. G.R. Mir, amidst warm wishes and heartfelt congratulations from the entire team.


With a wealth of experience spanning over 24 years in the field of Horticulture,  Bhats journey to this esteemed position has been marked by dedication and unwavering commitment and remarkable contribution in the field of Horticulture. He has served in various capacities within the department, including notable roles such as Chief Horticulture Officer in Kupwara and Baramulla. Prior to his elevation, he served as the Joint Director of Horticulture Kashmir, demonstrating exemplary leadership, vision & foresight.

The transition was marked by a touching farewell to the outgoing director, G.R. Mir, who received gratitude for his invaluable contributions to the department. As Mir bid adieu, the team extended a warm welcome to Mr. Bhat, expressing confidence in his ability to lead the department to new heights of success and innovation.

In assuming the mantle of Director of Horticulture Kashmir, Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Bhat embarks on a new chapter, filled with aspirations of growth, sustainability, and prosperity for the regions horticulture sector.
