Sopore, 19 Feb (KNS): A 23-year-old youth was killed while two others were injured in a road accident in Mazbug area of Sopore in Baramulla district on Tuesday.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a youth identified as Burhan Tariq son of Tariq Ahmed Parimoo of Doabgah Sopore died while two others were critically injured when they were hit by a vehicle at Mazbug Sopore.
He said that soon after the incident, the injured were rushed to community health centre Sopore where doctors declared Burhan as dead on arrival while other two were shifted to GMC Baramulla for further treatment.
The injured were identified as Haris Naseer son of Naseer Ahmed Dar and Uzair Habib son of Habibullah Dar—both residents of Doabgah Sopore.
The official said that after medico-legal formalities, body of deceased was handed over to the family for last rites.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the matter and a case has been registered in a local police station. (KNS)
