Srinagar, Nov 11 (KNS): A youth delegation from Theed-Harwan on Wednesday called on Former Minister and Apni Party Provincial President Kashmir Mohmmad Ashraf Mir at the Party Central office in M2 Church Lane, Sonwar.

The delegation apprised about numerous issues faced by the locals in the area and sought his prompt intervention with regards to the resolution of their pending demands.

In a statement issued to KNS, Mohammad Ashraf Mir said the youth in Theed are facing immense hardships due to the inaccessibility to a suitable playground where they could actively get involved in recreational and sports activities.

“The youth are filled with immense potential which needs to be channelised in a proper manner so that they don’t fall for bad practices that regrettably have presently destroyed many budding youths across Kashmir valley. This is a genuine demand which needs to be taken into a positive consideration by the concerned authorities,” he remarked.

Mir assured the members of the delegation that the matter pertaining for the allocation of land and the construction of a viable playfield will be discussed with the competent authorities.

“I have promised these energetic and talented youngsters that their request will be rigorously followed up and taken with the concerned departments so that the youth of Theed have better access to a feasible playground where they can opt for the games and sports of their choice,” he observed.

The delegation thanked the Party leader for patiently listening to their pressing demands and assuring them of all possible support with regards to the construction of requisite playfield in the area.

Besides Party Provincial President, DDC Chairman Srinagar Malik Aftab, District Vice President Kupwara Abdul Rahim Wani, State Party Coordinator Youth Outreach and Capacity Building Program Tariq Mohi-ud-din, Provincial Joint Secretary Youth Mohammad Dilawar Dar and District Youth President Srinagar Mohsin Zaffar Shah.
