Younis Malik releases calender of Iqbal Public School on completion of 30 years 

 
Srinagar, Feb 1 (KNS) Iqbal Public High School, Soura today released a special calendar on completion of 30 years of existence.
The calendar was released by Director School Education Kashmir Mohammad Younis Malik at a brief and simple function here, statement issued to KNS reads.
"Besides Director Education, school representatives and some other prominent persons were also present on this occasion. The multi colored calendar bear dates of the year besides the school Tarana (song) written by eminent poet and writer prof. Margoob Banihali. The Tarana envisages the importance of life and poetry of Allama Iqbal in character building of new generations in the society," it added.
"Thousands of students have completed their high school education in the school during the past three decades and a large number of them have got adjusted in medical, engineering, journalism, law , teaching and other important professions and fields," it added.

Expressing his views on the occasion the Director Education said that many educational institutions in the valley in general and in the old city of Srinagar in particular, have played a significant role in educating the wards of unprivileged classes of the society during past few decades and Iqbal Public High school, Soura is one amongst them.  Stressing the need to encourage such institutions, Malik said that these institutions should avail benefits available under different government sponsored schemes. 
He said these institutions should also pace with modern needs and requirements and should  compete well to remain in the race. In charge of the school Fouqia Farooq thanked Director Education for gracing the institution by releasing its calendar. "Director sir you have encouraged the school management, staff and the children enrolled in the school by your gracious encouragement", she said. (KNS).
