Langate Apr 03 (KNS): With the aim to spread awareness about Autism and to engage Autistic children positively, Army Camp, Baihk area of Harvet in Langate Handwara organised an interactive program with autistic children, their parents, medical staff and ASHA workers.
According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the interactive program was held at Primary Health Centre Ashpora.
The statement reads that a total of 9 Autistic children and their parents were present apart from PHC staff including 2 doctors, staff members of PHC and ASHA workers.
It reads that during the interaction, awareness lecture was given by Dr Riyaz Ahmed of PHC Ashpora for parents of Autistic children.
“Subsequently, a painting competition was also conducted for autistic children to enhance their skills and motivate them,” it further reads. (KNS)
