Karnah, Nov 25 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina on Thursday said that work on much-awaited Sadhna Top tunnel will start soon and its detailed project report (DPR) will be ready by March 2022.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) on the sidelines of a party function at Dak Bungalow Karnah, Raina said that the central government has allocated Rs 1300 crore for the construction of this tunnel and work on the same will start soon.

He said that the tunnel would improve the economic position of the area and it will provide employment opportunities to the youth of the area.

“BJP government is committed to the development of border and remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Construction of Sadhna Top tunnel was a long pending demand of the locals of this area and today it has been fulfilled,” he said.

Notably, Ravinder Raina is on a three-day visit to Karnah and also addressed a public gathering at Dak Bungalow today.

Raina also accused the regional parties of looting the poor peoples of Jammu and Kashmir and building their own houses. “Till date no local leader or party has talked about the tunnel, while the BJP made it possible from New Delhi,” he claimed.

He also said that the construction of this tunnel will start from Karnah and not from Kupwara..

Raina further said that election in J&K would be held after delimitation and promise made by the Home Minister Amit Shah for the restoration of statehood to J&K would also be fulfilled. (KNS)
