Srinagar, Feb 02 (KNS): Aimed to provide food-kits, blankets and woollen caps to the needy dwellers of Yousmarg and its adjacent villages, Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) and Kashmir Welfare Trust (KWT) in association with Department of Tourism and District Administration, Budgam Wednesday held the distribution programme in Yousmarg. 

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), 152 families of the poor and needy families of Darwan, Chuntinar & Walas Yousmarg were addressed in the distribution. 

“Each family were provided with a ration kit comprising of basic monthly rations besides blankets & woollen caps.”

It reads that SDM Chadoora presided over and supervised the function and other officials of Department of Tourism, District Administration & volunteers of Kashmir Welfare Trust & local community attended the distribution programme.

These families who were identified by the district administration and local community & mostly are associated with the tourist trade (ponywalas etc), affected by snowfall and recent COVID resurgence were provided with the kits.

Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo Chairman KWT & NTTA thanked officials of Department of Tourism and District Administration for their presence in the programme and also expressed gratitude to the volunteers of KWT for their volunteerism spirit. (KNS)
