Karnah, July 2:-(KNS) A massive windstorm swept in Karnah area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Friday evening, blowing away roofs of residential structures and damaging the standing crop.

Reports reaching to Kashmir news Service (KNS) said 'the windstorm was followed by heavy rain uproots the trees, demaging the properties and standing crop.
   
Reports said that residential houses  belonging to Rashid Lateef and Khursheed Ahmad in Chitterkote area was damaged by gusty winds as walnut tree fell on the rooftop of these residential structures.
   They said that the windstorm also demaged electric transmission lines in the area power supply in parts of Karnah was snapped.
  However, there was no report of any loss of life or injuries when this report being filed.(KNS)
