Addresses workers meet in Shairpathri Ganderbal

Ganderbal Nov 20 (KNS) : Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar Senior Political Leader and Former MLA Ganderbal today adressed a workers meet in Shairpathri Kachan area of Central Kashmir's Ganderbal district. 

A number of senior leaders and workers participated in the meeting and showed full hearted support for Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar. 

According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), He addressing a workers gathering, Jabbar lauded the efforts of party workers for participating in the meeting.

During his address he said that I will never let down my people, I will fight till my last breath for the rights of my people, he added.

He also urged workers to accelerate the public outreach programs to bring more people to the fold, he said. 

“Our agenda is to restore Statehood, secure land and jobs rights of the local people, bring all sections of people together and take up their issues for harmony, betterment, prosperity and progress,” he added.

Mr Jabbar stressed over party workers to ensure grassroots level reach out to the people of Ganderbal district.

While replying to the demands of the workers which include hike in power tarrif, Jabbar said the proposed hike in power tariff is totally an unwarranted decision that has been taken by the power department without taking the sufferings of the,   varied sections of people into account.

Sheikh said the people of J&K are not in a position to pay such exorbitant fee in the present circumstances

"I appeal to the Hon'ble Lt.  Governor, Chief Secretary and the concerned Chief Engineer to review such a decision by virtue of which there has been a unilateral hike in the power tariff and revisit this decision in the interest of the people of J&K.

The programme was attended by MCG Chairman Hilal Ahmad Tantray, Vice Chairman Ab Majeed, DDC Wakura Mohd Ashraf Ganie, DDC Ganderbal Molvi Mohd Yousuf, Youth leader Ab Rashid, Socio-political activists, Haji Faiz Ahmad Bhat, Ab Rashid Shah, Snober Khan, Ab Majeed Khanday, Mohd Subhan Sindbal Sarpanch Association Vice president Mohd Yousuf Wakura, Sarpanch Kachan Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Sarpanch Farooq Qureshi, Sarpanch Fayaz Ahmad, besides large number of PRIs, supporters and workers.(KNS)
