Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir State President of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, Vivek Bali, on Thursday condemned the attack on Farooq Abdullah and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.

In a statement, Bali said the attack on the senior leader was disturbing and stressed that the security of political leaders must be ensured.

“Strongly condemn the attack on Dr Farooq Abdullah Sahib. I am relieved that he is safe. Police must investigate the incident thoroughly and ensure his security and safety so that such incidents do not happen again,” Bali said.

He said the authorities should get to the bottom of what he described as a serious security lapse and urged the police to uncover the facts behind the incident.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Bali also said steps should be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.

Reiterating his party’s stand, he said the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party believes in peace and democratic values and opposes violence in any form.

“Our party is against violence and believes in maintaining peace and harmony in society,” he added.(KNS).
