Kupwara, July 19 (KNS): The residents of Ramhal are celebrating a significant victory for their community as the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Villagam has been officially upgraded to a Sub-District Hospital (SDH). This long-overdue development, fulfilling a decades-long demand, is set to transform healthcare access for the region, bringing relief to countless families who have faced challenges due to limited medical facilities.

The people of Ramhal have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Jenab Omar Abdullah, Health Minister Sakeena Itoo, former Minister Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan, and Health Secretary Syed Abid Rasheed (IAS) for their tireless efforts in making this upgrade a reality. The initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure across the Union Territory, aligning with the broader vision of delivering state of the art and affordable healthcare to all citizens, as outlined by the Department of Health and Medical Education.
