Baramulla July 03:(KNS) Early morning today based on specific input, Forest team of Jhelum Valley Forest Division seized vehicle bearing regd.no. JK05D 2629 loaded with illicit timber deodar 8 No.'s= 53 cft at Hadipora Rafiabad. Driver of the vehicle Pervaiz Ahmed was also apprehended on spot. As per preliminary investigation, the timber and vehicle belonged to Manzoor Ahmed Najar proprietor of Unique Joinery Watergam. The department has initiated action against the said unit holder whose license has been canceled. FIR has been also registered in police station Dangiwacha against culprits in the instant case.

The successful operation was carried out by Sofi Farheen Range Officer FCR Baramulla. Conservator of Forests North Circle Irfan Rasool has hailed efforts of budding Range officer and his team for acting swiftly and apprehending illicit forest property.(KNS)
