Vakil demanded early release of Wages of Anganwadi Workers & daily wagers on Eid-ul-Fitr

Srinagar, 11 May (KNS): Senior Vice President peoples conference and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil described the present ruling dispensation total failure on every front and said the Govt exists only on papers as it is completely clueless and utterly insensitive to the hardships faced by the poor people in Jammu and Kashmir and not only this even development work is on papers only and not seen on the ground. Everything is disarray accountability is missing.

A statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), reads, “Eid is approaching nearer but the Anganwadi workers, helpers and daily wagers working in different departments are crying and protesting for salaries and even have been left on roads but govt is giving deaf ear.
How will these people celebrate coming to Eid when they are not given their wages on time?” Vakil asked.

Vakil Said the daily wagers are working hard day and night serving the people and making the departments functional but still it is unfortunate that these people have been left in the lurch. Although It is the responsibility of the administration to help these poor people to restore their life and livelihood especially those who make their both ends meet on daily earnings, Vakil added.

Vakil said the poor Aganwadi Workers, helpers and other daily wagers are already worst hit due to Covid 19 lockdown and making hardly both ends meet but still govt is just like a mute spectator and virtually proved as a non-performing liability on the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The present performance of Govt is so worst and total failure wherein Governance deficit-increasing with every passing day in J & K. Vakil added.

Vakil urged the Lt. Governor to focus his attention on priority towards daily wagers with seriousness to release their wages in advance in view of coming eid so that they can celebrate eid with families with happiness as they have badly suffered during the lockdown as they have no source of income except daily earnings.
He also appealed to people to adhere to Covid19 guidelines and SOP's, as Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a surge in covid positive cases each day. It is time to take precautions and help the administration in fighting the covid19, Vakil added.(KNS)
