Srinagar, Jan 08 (KNS): Union Minority Affairs Minister Smriti Irani embarked on a significant journey to Madinah, one of the holiest cities in Islam, in a remarkable demonstration of cultural and spiritual engagement.
 
News agency KNS reported that, Minister Irani's visit encompassed the exploration of key historical sites, including the revered Prophet's Mosque, Al Masjid Al Nabwi, the mountain of Uhud, and the periphery of the Quba Mosque – recognized as the first Mosque of Islam.
 
Expressing deep appreciation for the historical significance woven into these sacred locations, Minister Irani emphasized the cultural ties and profound spiritual connection between India and the Islamic world. She underscored the importance of fostering understanding and respect among diverse communities, emphasizing the role of cultural diplomacy in building strong international relations.
