Srinagar, Dec 08 (KNS): Two more militants has been killed in an encounter that broke out in Check Cholan area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, taking the toll to three, police said here on Wednesday.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the encounter broke out in the area today morning, in which one unidentified militant was killed. 

He said that two more militants have been killed in the encounter, taking the toll to three.

The official said that search operation is going on in the area. 

He said that earlier a cordon and search operation was launched in the area and as the forces zeroed in on the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated to, triggering an encounter. (KNS)
