Two more accused arrested in J&K Militancy Conspiracy Case: NIA

Srinagar, Oct 31 (KNS): The National Investigation Agency has said that it has arrested two more accused persons in a case related to Jammu and Kashmir Militancy Conspiracy Case. 

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that yesterday NIA arrested 02 more accused persons namely Ishfaq Ahmed Wani of Srinagar Umar Bhat of Sopore in RC-29/2021/NIA/DLI.

The statement reads that the case relates to conspiracy for undertaking violent militant acts in J&K and other major cities by cadres of Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr and their affiliates such as the Resistance Front (TRF), People Against Fascist Forces (PAFF) etc.

"NIA had registered the case as RC 29/2021/NIA/DLI) dated 10.10.2021 and initiated the investigation. Till now 25 accused persons have been arrested in this case by NIA," it reads.

It reads that the preliminary investigation has revealed that arrested accused persons are militant associates or OGWs of various militant organisations and have been providing logistical and material support to militants.

The statement reads that further investigation in the case was going on. (KNS)
