Kupwara, Dec 26 (KNS): Two minors drowned in a water reservoir in Kralpora area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday afternoon. 

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that two minors fell into a water reservoir in Kralpora and soon after the incident, teams of Kralpora police joined by locals launched a rescue operation to trace them.

Meanwhile, SHO Kralpora confirmed the incident to KNS and said that due to icey surface the duo fell into the reservoir, however, they have launched a rescue operation to trace the.

“The icy surface is creating trouble in rescue operation, but we are on job to rescue them and their identification is yet to be confirmed,” he said. 

Notably, this is the 2nd incident in this week, as earlier a minor died in Gagal area of Lobal after slipping into a water pit. (KNS)
