Srinagar, Dec 25 (KNS): The slain militants who were killed in an encounter in Tral locality of Awantipora have been identified as Nadeem and Rasool alias Adil, an IED expert and were affiliated with Ansar-ul-Gazwatul Hind militant outfit, police said here.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the duo was involved in several militant incidents including IED blast and grenade throwing incidents.

He said that two AK rifles were also recovered from their possession.

Earlier, police had said that encounter broke out in Hardumir village of Tral and in the ensuing encounter two militants were killed. (KNS)
