Tulail villagers protest, demand reconstruction of school building damaged in 2014 snowfall

Gurez, May 12 (KNS): Villagers of Abduleen village in Tulail area of Gurez in Bandipora district staged a protest demonstration to demand reconstruction of school building, which was damaged in 2014 snowfall. 
 
Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the villagers raised slogans against education department for failing to repair the school building even after passing of more that than 8 years. 
 
They said that the deteriorating condition of building was causing huge trouble to the students even as the authorities were sitting as mute spectators. 
 
They alleged that the government was playing with future of their children by not making any effort to repair the damaged school building. 
 
Villagers said that they have brought the issue into the notice of concerned authorities several times, but to no avail. 
 
They appealed to district administration to look into the matter and help resolve their genuine grievance. 
 
Meanwhile, an official said that proposal about renovation of the building has been forwarded to higher authorities, however, there has been no response from them for the same. (KNS)
